Das Martyrium des heiligen Abo von Tiflis is a German-language account of Abo of Tiflis, a Muslim perfumer from Baghdad who converted to Georgian Christianity in the eighth century. He joined the service of a Georgian prince held hostage by the Caliph and escaped to Tbilisi, Georgia. After their return, Abo converted to Christianity, but was eventually captured and executed. This work is particularly recommended for readers interested in hagiography or further exploring saints in the Georgian Orthodox tradition.
