Joseph Holtzmann presents here a study of the Peshitta version of the Book of Wisdom, otherwise known as the Wisdom of Solomon. Holtzmann attempts to understand the differences between the versions of the Book of Wisdom in Syriac and to explain the relationship of the Syriac version to other extant versions of the text. Among other conclusions, Holtzmann argues that the Vorlage of the Syriac version was a Greek text.
