Syriac Catholic Patriarch Ignatius Afram II Rahmani (1848-1929) is well known both for his ecclesiastical and scholarly labors. This volume, published at his death, celebrates his life and work, from his early life to his time as priest, bishop, and then patriarch. His accomplishments and writings, and his place among both churchmen and scholars are all discussed. Finally, the authors describe his funeral ceremony in Cairo, and the conveyance of his mortal remains to Alexandria, Yaffa, and Beirut, his final resting place. The book includes photographs of Rahmani at the different stages of his ecclesiastical career.
