J. de Zwaan, who taught at Leiden and Groningen, here presents the Syriac text of one of Dionysius bar Salibi’s polemical writings, that against the Jews, a genre known among Christian writers of various periods and languages. The text is divided into chapters and paragraphs with section numbers and there are minimal textual notes. The manuscript on which this edition is based belonged at the time to J. Rendell Harris, but it is now located at the Harvard Semitic Museum. De Zwaan had also intended to publish an English translation with notes, but it never appeared.
